Simon Ciupa

Smart City and GIS expert. He has over 10 years of experience in supporting local government administration in the implementation of smart technologies. He specializes in on the subject of digital spatial management, the use of spatial data and indicators to assess city performance, ISO37120 and urban spatial information systems. He has carried out projects in the field of smart city, GIS, e-government as well as data analysis and visualization, e.g. for: Kielce City Hall (winner of many prestigious awards for the spatial information system, including a distinction during the Smart City Expo congress in Barcelona), Gliwice City Hall, Dąbrowa Górnicza City Hall, Opole City Hall, Toruń City Hall, Municipal Urban Planning Studio in Łódź or of the Poznań metropolis. He is the author of scientific publications and articles that have appeared, among others, in in the Studies of the Committee for Spatial Development of the Country of the Polish Academy of Sciences, The GIS Professional (USA), Przegląd Komunalny, Urbanista monthly, and Intelligent Cities and Regions magazine. He lectures at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. He runs a blog about smart cities in Poland: www.smartcity-expert.eu

Dr. Jaroslaw Gorski

Co-founder and member of the board of the Best Place Foundation - European Place Marketing Institute, assistant professor at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the University of Warsaw, city advisor in the Association of Polish Cities, co-founder of the International Place Branding Association. He specializes in the subject of competitiveness of territorial areas and place marketing. He is the author of numerous strategies, programs, consulting, research and educational projects in the field of marketing of local governments and enterprises. He co-created strategic solutions, e.g. for the local governments of the Mazowieckie, Warmińsko-Mazurskie, Podkarpackie, Małopolskie, Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodships, the cities of Kraków, Warsaw, Gdynia, Łódź, Kielce, Gołdap, Gniewino, Bartoszyce, Płońsk, Ciechanów and others.

dr Dominika Kaczorowska-Spychalska 

Pracuje  jako  wykładowca  na  Uniwersytecie  Łódzkim,_cc781905-5cde -3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ acting  function  assistant professor  at the Department of Marketing.  He is an expert at the University of Lodz in the field of digital technologies, in particular artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) and their implications in business. She is passionate about the impact of these technologies on human behavior (Homo Cyber Oeconomicus, Homo Roboticus) and the scope and nature of interactions between humans and technology (Human-to-Machine, Machine-to-Human). 
In 2018, she represented Poland at the "V4 Conference on Artificial Intelligence" (Workshop Session: Societal challenges and labor market impacts by AI), and was also a member of the group of external experts of the Ministry of Digitization involved in the work on the "Assumptions for the AI Strategy in Poland". Currently, she is the co-author of the new program "Intelligent technologies and people" on the TuŁódź portal.

Maciej Kowalczyk

Co-founder and main advisor of PHENO HORIZON – a team combining the experience and knowledge of urban planners, economists and sociologists, whose mission is to build a better living space within cities, provinces and regions. An expert and advisor to cities in the use of potential and development in line with global solutions. An expert in communication tools and consultations between conflicting environments in pursuit of finding and implementing good solutions. Involved in supporting Polish cities in the implementation of circular economy principles. He passionately engages in international and national research projects. He actively works in international teams: REPAiR (goal: to support cities around the world in implementing the principles of circular economy) and WATERDRIVE (goal: to improve the quality of the waters of the Baltic Sea). Its activities are guided by the main goal: to be able to have a real impact on improving the quality of the world in which we live.

Wieslawa Kwiatkowska

Expert of the Association of Polish Cities in local government matters, substantive evaluation of projects in the areas of: public administration, IT; information society; social infrastructure; education system infrastructure. His experience in managing innovative projects, co-creator of WOF ZIT projects in the field of electronic public services. Co-organizer and lecturer of the "Akademia Wójta" series of trainings conducted for mayors and mayors from all over the country by the Mazovian Association of Communes for the Development of the Information Society and the Rural Support Foundation, in the field of local government issues, in particular small towns and villages._cc781905-5cde-3194- bb3b-136bad5cf58d_Member of the Polish Association of Experts and Assessors of European Union Funds and Secretary of the Mazovian Association of Communes for the Development of the Information Society.

Adam Mikolajczyk

An international territorial marketing expert, passionate about branding and urban development. He has been involved in the field of marketing consulting for the public sphere (mainly local government units) for over 15 years. A graduate of the University of Lodz in the field of Spatial Management - City and Region Management and the Academy of The Chartered Institute of Marketing (London/Warsaw). As a consultant at the Polish Agency for Tourism Development in Warsaw in the early 2000s, he was a co-author of the first marketing and branding strategies for the development of tourism in cities and regions in Poland, including dla Województwa Pomorskiego, miasta Łeby, regionu   Suwalszczyzny,  uzdrowiska  Supraśl_cc781905-5cde-3194- bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ itd.  Od 2010 r.  inicjator  powołania  i prezes zarządu Fundacji Best Place – the European Place Marketing Institute (www.bestplaceinstitute.org), which is a widely recognized and valued expert organization providing consulting services at the highest level for the public sphere. Also since 2010, he has been an advisor to the President of the Polish Promotional Emblem Foundation "Teraz Polska" in the field of creating and implementing a strategy for creating an attractive economic image of Poland. In 2015, he also became a founding member of the newly established international organization - International Place Branding Association (www.placebranding.org).

Dr. Eng. Aleksander Orlowski

Dr. Eng. Aleksander Orłowski, assistant professor at the Department of Management at the Faculty of Management and Economics of the Gdańsk University of Technology, vice-president of the Gdańsk Agglomeration Development Forum. Professionally, he researches and develops the concept of Smart Cities, co-author (2016-2017) of Smart City readiness studies of ten leading Polish municipal offices, author of the book: Process readiness model of the municipal office to reach Smart City (2019). Scholarship holder of the Minister of Science and Higher Education (Scholarship for Outstanding Young Scientists 2016-19), secretary of the Team for Urban and Metropolitan Areas of the Spatial Development Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences (2019-2023). at the University of Newcastle Australia, Lebniz University Hannover, Visual Interaction&Communication Technologies VicomTECH San Sebastian. Consultant, member of teams preparing e.g. Smart Specialization project for the Pomeranian Voivodeship: Smart Port&City.

Agnieszka Rzeniec, PhD

Assistant professor at the Department of Regional Economy and Environment, at the Institute of Spatial Management at the Faculty of Economics and Sociology of the University of Lodz. W swojej pracy naukowej   łączy   tematykę   ekonomiczną   z _cc781905-5cde-3194- bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ to protect the   environment, especially in the context of sustainable development. The main areas of interest include: resource-efficient management of cities, eco-innovations, low-emission economy, forms of cooperation in environmental protection. Co-author of many strategic studies for local and regional governments in the field of environmental protection, integrated planning and revitalization.  Co-creator and implementer of the innovative EkoMiasto educational course at the University of Lodz.
